- In BC, dietitians are regulated by the College of Dietitians of British Columbia, which sets and enforces standards for dietetic practice.
- Consider working with a dietitian on your nutrition goals and meal planning. They can also provide nutrition counselling, suggest resources, and help answer and problem solve your diet and nutrition questions or concerns.
- Before you begin, check to see if a registered dietitian is covered by your health benefits. Only services provided in the hospital or clinic settings are covered by your medical services plan (MSP).
- Be aware that nutrition for seniors can be impacted by health conditions, problems with mobility concerns, vision concerns, confusion or dementia, and limited income or access to groceries.
