- Be aware that herbs can interact with the medications you take every day. In some cases, these interactions can make your medications less effective or even harmful to your health.

- Include all substances you take and how much of them you take in your medication list on your health profile. Remember, ‘you’ are the only one that knows all the medications and substances you are taking.
- Review your medications with your physician, nurse practitioner, or pharmacist every year so they can give you guidance and make sure you are using everything safely.
