PharmaNet is a service by the Ministry of Health in BC to protect people from drug interactions and medication fraud, and to provide medication monitoring.
Tips & Links
- Know that your PharmaNet file can only be accessed by health care professionals such as a pharmacist, physician, hospitalist, or nurse practitioner.
- Your PharmaNet information includes your personal demographics, prescribed medications over the past 14 months, and your Fair PharmaCare information.
- Know that only medications dispensed (purchased) through a community pharmacy in B.C are listed by PharmaNet.
- Learn about the functions of PharmaNet including listing your medications for the past year, lowest drug costs, and drugs covered by Fair Pharmacare. Be aware, it may not include medications dispensed by the hospital, speciality pharmacies, or BC Cancer, Renal or Transplant agencies.
- You can also get a list of your medications through Health Gateway BC – this list may include discontinued medications.
