- Aging in your own home may be an option for you if you only need minor assistance with your daily activities, have care partners such as family, friends, and neighbours for support and safety, and can afford home care services to meet your needs.
- As you find your need for support increasing, request a home care assessment to determine the level of care you need.
- Explore what assistance your care partners can provide.
- Read the Help Guide’s list of care services to consider if staying in your home.
- Determine whether you can pay for the services suggested. Complete your Mywell Health planner activity ‘Understanding My Financial Situation’. Remember to budget for mobility aids/devices, home care equipment, and home modifications if needed.
