The Seniors Supplement is a monthly payment from the government of British Columbia that provides additional financial support to low-income seniors who receive federal Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplement benefits.

- Learn more about the senior’s supplement eligibility and how to receive this benefit from the Government of BC.
- Be aware that you must be a permanent resident of B.C. to receive the senior’s supplement but can be out of the province for up to six months per year.
- Know that you do not need to apply for the BC Senior’s Supplement, however you need to be eligible and receive Old Age Security (OAS) and Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS). The amount for your senior’s supplement will be calculated and sent to you.
- Confirm your OAS and GIS registration by accessing your My Service Canada Account using your Social Insurance Number (SIN), date of birth, and other identifying details to verify your identity.
